GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible for recruiting foster care providers including attending recruitment events. Responsible for developing and implementing a recruitment and retention plan. Work closely with Foster Care Director, Foster Care Licensing Social Worker and Foster Care Social Worker in creating and developing the most proficient recruitment plan for Integrated Family Services Foster Care Program. Also responsible for intake coordination of TFC/IAFT clients and general functions that fall within that coordination.


WORK DUTIES AND TASKS

Organize and facilitate all aspects of recruitment for Foster Care including: planning overall recruitment strategy, organizing and participating in recruitment events and activities, developing recruitment networks and relationships in the communities, serving in planning and implementing marketing campaigns, and monitoring, tracking and documenting recruitment efforts for various funders.

Recruit individuals and families for IAFT/TFC foster care programs.

Partner with IFS Foster Care team members as necessary for recruiting new individuals and families.

Facilitate meet and greets for placement.

Collect intake for TFC/IAFT clients.

Monitor client charts on a monthly basis in Next Gen.

Coordinate with parents treatment regarding health and wellness checks.

Create spreadsheets to organize and comply with all due dates for TFC/IAFT children health and wellness visits as well as annual intake.

Supervise TFC/IAFT homes as needed (taking on a small caseload).

Participate in weekly clinical staffing.

Train Foster Parents in evidence based practices.

Participate in bi-monthly groups.

Available for crisis response and being on-call at least once a month.

Completes all administrative requirements in timely and efficient manner.

Adheres to all clinical policies and operating procedures.

Ensures compliance with uniform documentation and guidelines.

Attends meetings related to role.

Provides education and training to community groups as assigned.

Coordinates events, meetings and presentations as appropriate.

Attends a minimum of 2 hours of cultural competency continuing education per year.

Completes annual adult CPR and First Aid certification courses.

Completes annual TB tests and any other required competencies as outlined by the Human Resource Department for all staff.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in human services/social work, marketing or business.

Qualified Professional (QP) or Associate Professional (AP) level experience.

Foster Care experience and good people skills preferred. 

Minimum 2-4 years' work experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of local communities in Eastern NC.

Cultural competency to serve targeted populations.

Proficient in computer literacy and applications such as MS Office applications: MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.

Excellent oral and written skills and ability to communicate comfortably with a diverse population.

Must be able to pass a background, MVR, and sexual offender check

No criminal convictions of child abuse or violent crimes.

Must possess a valid driver's license.

Must be able to keep strict confidentiality and work with diverse populations

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak and hear.  The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen.  The employee must rarely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment

Travel

The employee must be able to travel to all clinical sites, attend conferences, training and other events as required to acquire and maintain proficiency in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
