GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
MORES (Mobile Outreach, Response, Engagement, and Stabilization) is a team-based crisis intervention for children and adolescents ages 3 to 21 years experiencing escalating emotional and/or behavioral needs. MORES provides up to eight weeks of follow-up services for individuals who have experienced a behavioral health crisis. The goal of the MORES program is to stabilize the present concern, empower and educate families to monitor, manage and cope with similar situations in the future, establish and build resiliency skills and strengthen the natural support systems of youth and families.
The MORES Clinician responds to crisis referrals and follows up with the individual and family for up to 8 weeks. The Clinician performs required assessments for youth in crisis and defines acuity levels. Response and follow up may be in a residential or community setting based on the individual and family preferences. Care may include clinical assessments, referrals to psychiatrist and/or higher-level care, coping strategies, goal setting, resiliency conversation and training, supporting social determinants of health, building natural supports, developing parenting skills, attending Family Team Meetings and coaching.
