GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Foster Social Worker is responsible for providing intensive social work services in serious and complicated cases which require the flexible use of a wide range of social work skills and intervention techniques. Services are provided in a variety of settings including the office and community and may require work outside of the standard work hours of 8am-5pm. The Foster Care Social Worker will also adhere to policies and procedures related to the foster care program as outlined by the agency, state, and federal governing bodies. The Foster Care Social Worker will build relationships with agency staff and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and education related to the foster care program and other services offered by the agency. The Foster Care Social Worker will ensure that the assigned homes are in compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations.
